Our nurse practitioners and physician assistants play a vital role in the care of our patients at Nephrology Associates. They are each assigned to a physician and work with them in a collaborative approach to provide optimal care.
Marcia H. Ryder, RN, ANP
Marcia has a Master’s degree in nursing and is a graduate of Onondaga Community College and the Syracuse Universtiy College of Nursing. She has been a Nurse Practitioner at Nephrology Associates since 1999.
Alyssa is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree as a Physician Assistant. She also is CPR certified (infant, child, and adult). She has been a physician assistant at Nephrology Associates since 2011.
Tracy is a graduate of the LeMoyne College Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor of Science Degree as a Physician Assistant. She is affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has been working in Nephrology since 2002 with experience in both the office and dialysis settings. Tracy has been a physician assistant at Nephrology Associates since 2011.
Jackie is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree in nursing from Syracuse University. She has been practicing in Nephrology for 12 years, with a focus on hemodialysis patients. Prior to joining Nephrology Associates of Syracuse, PC, Jackie worked in the settings of acute care hemodialysis, emergency room, and intensive care. Jackie’s main focus in working with the hemodialysis patient is promoting independence and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Jessica Arcuri, RN, NP-C is a certified Family Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree in nursing from SUNY Upstate Medical University and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree, Summa Cum Laude, and was the class valedictorian from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2016. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center College of Nursing and previously worked as a charge nurse on a per diem basis for St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, New York for five years.
Matthew F. Kertesz, RD, CDN, CDE
Matt has a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, and has over ten years’ experience in providing nutritional education to patients with renal disease, diabetes and other medical conditions. He provides part time medical nutritional therapy to assist our patients when referred by our physicians to assist patients with enhancement of diet, nutrition and food choices.
Anne E. Zaccheo, MBA, FACMPE
Anne holds a Master’ s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Union College, Schenectady, New York. She has over twenty years’ experience in health care, physician relations, and continuous improvement of health care organizations. Anne is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE).
Cheryle Nieset, CRCP-P
Cheryle has an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Bryant and Stratton, and completed her American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Professional on the professional physician side (CRCP-P). She oversees the Front Desk/Reception Area, Billing, Medical Assistants and Medical Records. Cheryle has been with the practice since 2006.
Nasir has an MBBS Degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Karachi, Pakistan. He oversees the RN Clinic Area, as well as provides ongoing clinical support for the practice. Nasir has been with the practice since 1997.
Kristin Voss has joined Nephrology Associates of Syracuse, PC as laboratory manager effective May 31, 2016. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and an Applied Associates Degree from Alfred State University of New York. She previously worked at Auburn Community Hospital as a medical laboratory technologist.
Susan M. Waite, RN, ANP, CNN
Sue has practiced in nephrology nursing for 22 years, with the past 14 providing care for the chronic hemodialysis population and seeing patients in the office setting. She has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University, a Masters in Health Education from SUNY Cortland State College and National Certification as a Nephrology Nurse. Sue has also been a guest lecturer for the American Nephrology Nurses Association.
