NURSE PRACTITIONERS
The nurse practitioner plays a vital role in the care of patients at Nephrology Associates. They are each assigned to a physician and work with them in a collaborative approach to provide optimal care.
The nurse practitioners in the office see patients frequently and work with the physicians to keep patients stable and treat them as effectively as possible. It is not uncommon for a patient with chronic kidney disease to see the nurse practitioner more frequently than the physician in the office.
The nurse practitioner should be viewed as an extension of the physician and all information completed is always reviewed by the attending physician. Our nurse practitioners strive for excellence and continue to improve the quality of life for our patients.
